Maggie Walker Throwing Team 2015

"This t-shirt project was the first time that I have ordered from CustomInk, and my teammates and I are very pleased with the way that they turned out. This photo was taken at our last regular season track meet earlier today, Wednesday, May 13, 2015. First of all, when I say "track" I am referring to the sport officially known as Outdoor Track and Field, and throwing is a segment of the field activities in which competitors throw the shot-put and the discus as far as possible. In this photo you can see me on the left in the pink/salmon-colored shorts, my teammates on the right, and our beloved Coach Spence in the middle, showing off his favorite part of the t-shirts. We gave the shirts to coach as a gift because he is not the most financially stable person in the world, but he does a lot for us and for the community. For his day job he works as a school counselor for troubled children in the Richmond Public Schools system, and after his long day at work he comes to my school, Maggie Walker Governor's School, and spends hours upon hours helping all nine of us throwers to perfect our form and improve overall. Words cannot describe how much I appreciate everything that Coach Spence does for us, and he certainly appreciates the t-shirt as recognition of his heroism. In fact, Coach Spence was not aware that I had made and collected orders for the t-shirts until I physically handed him his. At this track meet, the first time we had the privilege to flaunt our awesome t-shirts, several team members achieved new personal records and finished in some of the top places of everyone in the meet.
