About this campaign
Waylon was an incredible musician and activist whose songs and spirit touched each person who crossed her path. She was generous, clever, hardworking and her energy was magnetic. Her loss is all too sudden and is felt deeply by many.
We hope to be able to give Waylon's mom and pops, Tamra and Mark Dollar, the gift of a visitation plot for their daughter. This will serve as a place for family, friends, and loved ones to spend time with Waylon, experience our deep love and grief, reminisce with her in nature, and even play music with her again. Our goal is to create a place for people to share another conversation with Waylon, and not have to say "Goodbye", just "see you later".
Waylon's not dead, she's just gone home. All the scriptures of the Good Book taught a lesser love than Waylon's mama greeted strangers with. We hope to show her our love for Waylon by making this process of burial just a little bit smoother. I know it just breaks Tamra up inside that there is no dedicated place we feel we can go to be with Waylon.

The design on these shirts features a 2016 photograph of Waylon in the console room at SAE, from which she graduated in 2017 as Valedictorian of her class, with the text wWaylon below in white script. The back of the shirt reads “Open Up Your Heart” in white script, with a dark red heart print underneath.
