About this campaign

It is extremely meaningful to Waylon's parents, Tamra and Mark, her mama and Pops, to designate a visitation plot for their daughter. Designating a plot in a family cemetery will serve as an opportunity for Waylon's loved ones to grieve, reminisce surrounded by nature, play her just a couple more songs, share another conversation, and not have to say "Goodbye", just "see you later".

Waylon's not dead, she's just gone home. All the scriptures of the Good Book taught a lesser love than Waylon's mama greeted strangers with. We hope to show her our love for Waylon by making this process of burial just a little bit smoother. I know it just breaks Tamra up inside that there is no dedicated place we feel we can go to be with Waylon.

Waylon shirts will be available surrounding March 31, 2021, Transgender Day of Visibility. Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV) is a yearly celebration of the contributions transgender people make to society, yet also raise awareness of the discrimination that trans people experience. Waylon's extensive musical catalog is something we celebrate. Some is available to listen online below, please enjoy, and let Waylon's songs live on.

The design on these shirts features a 2016 photograph of Waylon in the console room at SAE, from which she graduated in 2017 as Valedictorian of her class, with the text wWaylon below in white script. The back of the shirt reads “Open Up Your Heart” in white script, with a dark red heart print underneath.


After the closing of this fundraiser in two weeks, your fresh new Waylon merch will be printed and mailed to each person who ordered. Once shipped, shirts will arrive near, if not on Waylon's birthday, April 25th.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Tamra Dollar, Waylon's mama. They will be used to purchase a plot, headstone, and to pay for all other burial fees. Shirts sold over our goal of 50 will raise additional money for these expenses.
