About this campaign

While trying to make sense of loosing our son, Reuben 'Chip' to suicide, we find ourselves on a journey we never expected. Walking in theAFSP(American Foundation for Suicide Prevention)Out of the Darkness Walk, with our family and friends alongside us, has truly been one of the most healing events on our journey.

Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow. Please just walk beside me and be my friend.

It seems like an eternity and then again just like yesterday that he left us and there is not a day that goes by that we don't miss his humor, insight and presence in our lives. We are touched by all the ways he's been honored and remembered, but would give it all up in millisecond to have him back in our lives....and that is why we must do whatever we can to prevent suicides and another family from experiencing our pain. Please join us on our journey to healing.
