The Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) is a program of the AIFS Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to providing educational and cultural exchange opportunities to foster greater understanding among the people of the world. The Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) believes all gifted students, regardless of their financial situation, should be able to experience the academic rigor and enrichment that they deserve. As such, we strive to provide as much scholarship funding as we possibly can so that these students may attend gifted and talented programs. Each shirt purchased from this Booster campaign will go toward scholarships that will directly benefit the lives of gifted youth, specifically for students interested in the Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) program. If you are able, we encourage you to purchase one and show your support proudly. By reaching our goal, we can sponsor deserving, driven children to take part in a rewarding, challenging educational and social experience this summer!
100% of all funds raised will go to scholarships for the SIG program.
The mission of the Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) is to advance the development of gifted, talented, and high potential youth, in the United States and abroad, through opportunities, advocacy, and exemplary programs and practices.
Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) a program of the AIFS Foundation, strives to provide the highest quality educational and social opportunities for academically gifted and talented students through programs designed to meet their abilities and needs.
SIG began in 1984 and has expanded to include 21 summer programs for students ages 5-17. In 2019, we served over 1,900 academically gifted students from locations nationwide, as well as international.
SIG provides academically advanced students with an interesting and challenging educational experience. The program combines remarkable academic courses with cultural, social, and recreational opportunities. It also provides students with the opportunity to engage with other students who have similar abilities and interests. Because of our small classes, low teacher-student ratio, and teaching assistants, we are able to individualize the program for each and every student.
The richness of a broad range of geographical, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, the stimulation created by talented and intellectually engaged students working and playing together, the depth and diversity of the SIG faculty and staff, and the beautiful and well-equipped college campus environments create a perfect atmosphere for learning, growing and accomplishing meaningful goals.
SIG is a program of AIFS Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to providing educational and cultural exchange opportunities to foster greater understanding among the people of the world.
Supporters
Having gifted children, I fully understand the importance and the mission of SIG.
Glad to support Gifted and Talented students everywhere.
Annually, The Carmel Hill Fund provides scholarships to attend SIG. Our students love SIG and always have nothing but good things to say about the program.
I strongly believe in supporting a deserving child with gifts and talents to motivate them to grow by knowing that they can achieve anything with having support behind them.
