About this campaign
Hello! My name is Jessica DeFrenn! I’m an artist and stern out on swans island.I graduated Maine College of Art with a focus in painting but also love digital design. Now I teach k-8 art on our small island and stern during the summer. Before sterning I also worked on a wharf for a few years. Hoping to contribute back to the community with this design while also giving everyone some warm gear for winter approaching. I’m aiming to have this fundraiser up for only a month in hopes to make a donation to the MLA on the third week of November. I’ll keep everyone updated on the all things lobstering page and also show proof of donation to the MLA.

I am 4th generation in the lobster industry and grew up on an island renowned for it's record annual lobster landings. This way of life is in my bloodline and many others. It has supported families and economies for generations.
I come from a long line of lobstermen from Tenants Harbor and Matinicus.
We have a summer home in Kennebunk & want to support the industry.
As a native Mainer, I understand how important the fishing industry is to Our economy and way of life.
My Boyfriend is amazing, works so hard, and is a Stern-man
