Rickover Family Reunion

What are these shirts?: These shirts were intended to be made for the "Reactor Muster, Rickover Family Reunion” 2017. We have decided to open the sales up to all of our friends and family in hopes of generating some extra attention and donations for the Sailors and Family of the USS Fitzgerald. No matter where you live or whether you intend to attend the reunion or not, the shirts are open to purchase with all additional funds raised being sent to NMCRS. The "Rickover" family is large and we want to invite everyone to be part of this.

Who are you?: The "Rickover Family" are all the proud Sailors to have been part of the Reactor Department of a US Navy Ship or Submarine. Admiral Hyman Rickover is the "Father" of the Nuclear Navy and so, in spirit, we are his sons and daughters. Specifically, the group who created this are from the Reactor Department of the USS George Washington CVN73 when it was stationed in Yokosuka Japan.

Why NMCRS?: The Navy Marine Corps Relief Society is an agency that helps Sailors and their families in times of need. Emergencies or events that may not always be something the military can assist in, such as emergency loans for traveling and etc. In the case of the Fitzgerald, several living spaces for the Sailors were damaged and flooded. Most of their belongings were lost or ruined. While the Navy is issuing funds to replace uniforms and equipment, NMCRS Yokosuka is making sure the Sailors will have normal shoes, clothes, and hygiene supplies like razors, toothbrushes, soap, etc.

I saw this GoFundMe...: GoFundMe doesn't really have a vetting process to ensure that the story you are reading is true. Speaking from experience and directly to the Sailors and people on the ground in Japan, I promise you that NMCRS is in best position to help this situation.

Extra Donations: Freaking do it. The shirts are priced low and admittedly, without additional donations on top of the purchase, won’t create a great amount of money. Shipping: If you are attending the reunion in NOLA, you do have the opportunity to save some money and NOT have this item shipped to you. The shirts that are not shipped to individuals will be sent to Kramer and he will have them ready for distribution in New Orleans for anyone in attendance.
