About this campaign

As fire season continues across Minnesota, I've put together a wildland fire apparel fundraiser to benefit the Wildland Firefighter Foundation - specifically, the Mental Health Program.

The Wildland Firefighter Foundation’s main focus is to help families of firefighters killed in the line of duty and to assist injured firefighters and their families. They honor and acknowledge past, present, and future members of the wildland firefighting community, and partner with private and interagency organizations to bring recognition to wildland firefighters.

Whether you're a seasonal firefighter, a full-time professional, volunteer, or someone who just wants to show your love and appreciation, consider wearing your support to recognize Minnesota wildland firefighters and the Wildland Firefighter Foundation.

A bit more about the program:
The Wildland Firefighter Mental Health Program is designed to provide a comprehensive resource for the mental well-being of wildland firefighters and those who work in wildfire.

Wildland firefighters work in some of the most challenging and dangerous environments on the planet. They are ordinary people doing an extraordinary job, a community of committed individuals who work and train to protect our private and public lands. The job demands exceptional physical and mental toughness.

But the psychological toll of this demanding profession and the impact this job has on one’s mental health and family unit, can be overwhelming.

That is why they’re here to help. The program is confidential, free, and accessible to all wildland firefighters and those who assist in wildland firefighting efforts.

They offer a range of services, including counseling, peer support, education on mental wellbeing, all tailored specifically to help get firefighters through the tough times and help us to get back to what we do best - fight fires.
