About this campaign
Color and Sizing Note:
- Youth Sizes only available in black and navy blue
- Women's Black and Blue shirts are now lightweight to match unisex. The blue is now the heather royal blue to match the unisex, but is only available in slim fit. Oatmeal and Black women's shirts are standard fit.
Be a part of raising awareness and making our streets safer for pedestrians and cyclists everywhere while also sporting some awesome Hill Family Biking fashion.
Hill Family Biking and the Payne PTA came together to create this initiative as a way to beautify our neighborhood while also encouraging safety for pedestrians and cyclists. Chelsea Ritter-Soronen, from ChalkRiot, is creating an eye-catching design that will be installed on C St SE between 14th and 15th. The goal of the project is to make the block more visible to drivers, recognize pedestrians, children, bicycles, and everyone else that uses this space to safety get to school, and reduce their speed and encourage safer driving in the school corridor.

Hill Family Biking is a non-profit that organizes monthly family-friendly bike rides on and around Capitol Hill and serves as a community hub for all things biking on the Hill. The group hosted its first ride in April of 2023 and one of the most popular rides to date has been the Back to School ride. Coming out of the success of that ride, the organizers of Hill Family Biking wanted to incorporate an element to the 2024 edition that would have a lasting impact - and that’s how the street art project was born.
Our first school PTA partner was Maury Elementary, where we installed the crosswalk art below and our 2025 is Payne Elementary and we're excited to work with the Payne community on this project.
