About this campaign

*Please note: Offered by request for those who missed our earlier campaign. These shirts will be printed and delivered in JANUARY 2015. The wreaths sponsored by each purchase will be placed at Arlington in December 2015

Inspired by the "Christmas They Never Had" quilt made by Gold Star Mother Ruth Stonesifer which is on display at the Wreaths Across America Museum, the Silent Night Shirt is a reminder to honor and appreciate the service and sacrifices made by our veterans, so we can live each day free and without fear.

How do you thank a veteran or a family who lost their loved one in service to our Country?

You show them that their sacrifices were not made in vain, and that we will not forget the great price for which the freedoms we enjoy each and every day were purchased.

Each shirt ordered will place a wreath at Arlington in 2015, and help us pursue our mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach.

This shirt design was inspired by the 2011 theme for Wreaths Across America about the "Christmas They Never Had" in honor of our veterans and their families who are apart during the holiday season, and for those who never made it home. This video explains the story of the commemorative quilt, made by Gold Star Mother Ruth Stonesifer who lost her son Kris in Afghanistan in the early days of the war on Terror.

How do you thank a veteran or a family who lost their loved one in service to our Country?

You show them that their sacrifices were not made in vain, and that we will not forget the great price of the freedoms we enjoy each and every day.

2014 marks the 150th anniversary of Arlington National Cemetery. It is our Nation's cemetery and is filled with hometown heroes from every state and city.

Each stone marks a name, bears a story, and represents a family who went without a loved one in service to our Country. Let's leave no stone behind.

Wreaths have been placed to honor those buried on those hallowed grounds since 1992. Our goal is to honor every veteran buried there in this significant year.

Last year 143,000 wreaths were placed on headstones at Arlington alone. This year the goal is to place 230,000 and we need your help.

Wreaths Across America is a national 501(c)3 with over 1000 participating locations nationwide. We receive no government funds in support of this tribute. Each wreath is a gift to honor the families, by those who know that showing our appreciation is the most we can do for the families they left behind.

Wear your shirt with pride and help educate others about the mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach about the character of our veterans. Together we can show their families that we will never forget their service and sacrifices.

Please consider giving beyond the cost of your t-shirt. For every $15 sponsored - a wreath will be placed at a veteran's headstone as an living, evergreen symbol of all that was sacrificed to protect our freedoms.

For example, there are over 10,000 stones in Section 60 deserving of a wreath and remembrance gift this holiday season. Section 60 of Arlington is the location where many of our most recent casualties in the War on Terror are laid to rest. The holiday season for many of these families has been changed forever. But each year we hear poignant and emotional stories from those who hearts were warmed just a little when they saw that others still feel and care about their loss and sacrifice. It is the least the we can do.

We are seeing many groups, businesses, and organizations starting to step forward and adopt sections of Arlington as their goal - because together we can honor all the veterans, and their families who have that deep connection to those hallowed grounds.

My 20 year old son Kyle was killed in a car wreck returning home from Ky Army National Guard weekend drill duty by driver passing 2 vehicles on a hill and curve going 75 in a 35 mph zone on 11-1-2008. I miss him so much...especially at Christmas.
