About this campaign

Funds from your purchase of this dramatic tee will promote recovery of one of the most endangered wolves in the world.

Mexican gray wolves once numbered in the thousands in Arizona, New Mexico, West Texas, and Mexico. 16 years after their reintroduction, they remain critically endangered, with only 83 in the wild. Your purchase will support Mexicanwolves.org's fight to restore Mexican gray wolves to their essential natural role and will raise awareness for the plight of these amazing animals!

This shirt’s stunning design was created by Tina Hickman and chosen as one of three top finalists in our Mexican gray wolf design contest.  You can also view the teeshirt designed by finalist Areli Garcia here and the teeshirt designed by finalist Donna Smith here. The winner of the teeshirt design contest will be decided by the number of teeshirts sold.

Proceeds from all three teeshirts will be used to fight for the future of the Mexican wolf. Thank you for your support!

Note: If you live outside the U.S. and want to purchase one of these tees, the process is slightly different. Please just fill out this form. We apologize for any inconvenience and are very grateful for your support.

no_snowshoes_needed_by_soyrwoo-d36lcnz-brookfieldjpgSince 2009, Lobos of the Southwest, has been at the forefront of efforts to save the lobo, organizing tirelessly to mobilize support and defend these rare and wonderful animals against a myriad of threats (www.Mexicanwolves.org).

US Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed management changes that could move lobos closer to extinction -- or could finally help them thrive. A great deal is riding on what happens in the next several months and Lobos of the Southwest will continue our fight at this crucial time.  We have the opportunity to put the lobo on the fast track to recovery, but we can’t do it without you.

This shirt’s stunning design was created by Tina Hickman and chosen as one of three top finalists in our Mexican gray wolf design contest.  Tina has been drawing all her life and her passion for wolves is just as long-standing as her love of drawing.  Twenty years ago, she began volunteering at the Timber Wolf Preservation Society in Greendale, Wisconsin (now closed).  Her main duties were giving tours and educating the public, but during off hours, she also enjoyed one-on-one contact with the wolves.  She eventually became a board member, and when the owner died, she became primary caretaker for the wolves on the grounds. She expresses her love for the wolves by collecting all sorts of wolf memorabilia and by capturing their spirit on paper. Her work website can be found at www.MonCheriGrooming.com  If you just want to see her artwork, it can be found at https://www.flickr.com/photos/moncheripetservices/

Lobos are essential!

Besides being tragic, killing wolves is not logical for healthy wildlife sustainability.

I believe in this campaign, I love wolves and I want to fight off their extinction. People don't understand that wolves balance the environment and they can be gentle, intelligent and loving creatures.
