We Are Bowling To Raise Money For A Cure For Lupus

I have been involved with the Lupus Research Alliance (formerly Alliance for Lupus Research) since 2003. As a team captain for the Food and Nutrition Department at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, I have participated in the NJ Walk to Cure Lupus every year. Since 2003, our team has raised over $25,000 for Lupus research. I wanted to reach more employees at our hospital, so four years ago, I started the Bowlathon to raise additional money for Lupus Research. The first year we had 40 people participate, but last year we had over 120 people at the Bowlathon. This year we are aiming to set a record for attendance at 156 people, taking over the entire bowling alley. It has been a fun event for everyone in attendance in past years, and most importantly this event will raise a significant amount of money for Lupus research.
