Katie was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma when she was 17 years old. Ewing’s Sarcoma is a rare type of pediatric bone cancer. Throughout her 6 years of fighting childhood cancer she found joy in creating artwork to raise awareness for childhood cancer.
While fighting Ewing's Sarcoma, Katie made it her mission to live a limitless life. She spent her days traveling to National Parks, seeing as many concerts as possible, and connecting with everyone that she met. She especially loved connecting with her fellow childhood cancer Warriors and supporting them however possible.
Whether it was in the crafting world, the childhood cancer community, her Warrior Family, School and Church friends, or a stranger on the street; Katie built a community of strength. She continues to inspire us all to live a better and fuller life.
This fundraiser is to encourage all of us to #LiveLifeLikeKT.
In this time of sorrow and grief, Katie would want each one of you to remember that while you are hurting, you are "Braver Than You Believe".
The Olive Branch represents Hope & Victory, The Lavender represents Grace & Beauty. The Lavender Flower also represents purity of the heart, serenity, virtue, and peace of mind. All characteristics of our Katie.
The Gold Ribbon symbolizes childhood cancer awareness.

Over the past 6 years, Katie relapsed 4 times and underwent some of the most difficult challenges anyone could experience. Through her years of treatment she received 115 doses of radiation, 70 cycles of chemo, at least 96 units of blood, 17 surgeries, an autologous stem cell transplant, lost her hair 4x, and spent countless days in the hospital.

We are the St. Albert's Staff and would like to show our love for Katie (St. Albert's Alum).
We never got to meet Katie but she was and continues to be an inspiration.
Katie was such a remarkable young lady who was taken away much too soon.
