About this campaign

When you purchase a shirt, you help Letters Against Depression purchase supplies such as stamps, envelopes, pens, cards, and other supplies needed to send letters and cards around the world to recipients in need of support.

I have been a volunteer letter writer with Letters Against Depression since July 2017, the reason I signed up was because I was also struggling with depression and didn't want others to have to feel alone. In these three years Letters Against Depression has expanded so much and have reached out to people in need clear from Australia to the United States among many other countries worldwide.

Personally, I have received so much support and love through my own struggles with anxiety and PTSD as well as when I was suffering with a chronic illness. I have gained so many new friendships from becoming a volunteer letter writer.

Globally, over 300 million people worldwide experience depression. Not only does LAD write letters to those fighting depression, LAD receives requests from recipients fighting bipolar disorder, PTSD, anxiety, abuse, and many more. Their central goal is to let others know that they are not alone and that they matter!

Founder Robert Mason also sends every recipient a holiday card and a birthday card to show them that someone is thinking of them. Since Letters Against Depression started in 2014, they have sent 16,000 letters and cards and they have just under 2,000 current recipients!

By purchasing a shirt to show that you are a fighter, you supply someone with a letter of support and love to know that they matter and are not alone. Thank you for your support!
