Leak Love - Brazil

I have some exciting news to share with you but first, I want to tell you the story of how God broke my heart for my city and then for Latin America. God started giving me vision for the city of Harrisburg, where I live back in 2004. I was on the front lines working as an In-Home Therapist. I was able to see the real and desperate needs of the people. I was determined to make a difference. I was so adamant about cities in the US, especially my own, that I couldn’t relate to those going overseas to do missions. My heart was at home. That was until 2009 when I felt a tug to go on a mission’s trip to Guatemala. My heart was forever changed by these precious Guatemalan girls. My job was to teach them about the Father’s love for them and prophetic art. They taught me about unconditional love. I will never forget my experiences with them. It changed me. If I could have brought the four girls pictured above home with me, I most certainly would have. Four years later, I ended up going to Roatan, Honduras; where my Mom was born, to help my Grandmother. I never really had an interest in going to or knowing about my Mom’s birthplace. This trip broke open some things for me and once again I was in love with the people. To make it even more impactful, my little cousins were there!!! Since falling in love with all these precious little faces, I have developed a deep desire to see families all over the world come to a healing, saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. My passion is to travel back to countries such as Guatemala and Honduras and LOVE people to LIFE. In my own city, one of my goals is to bring community leaders together in order to foster more effective communication and a sharing of resources. That brings me to my exciting news!!! I have an opportunity to go on another mission trip where I will learn more about how to do community mobilization in order to bring transformation to cities. This time the trip is to......

During my birthday week (Happy Birthday to ME!!!) June 8-17, I will travel to Brazil with Stacey Campbell, Lou Engle, and others to minister to the people of Brazil as well as be trained in how to affect change in cities with strategies from heaven.
