KIPP: Columbus Sweatshirts

KIPP Columbus will create a system of schools where students develop the intellectual, academic, and social skills needed to understand and take action on issues they encounter in everyday life. By establishing a rigorous, safe, and personalized learning environment, KIPP Columbus will foster a culture of responsibility and service and empower all students to become active and engaged citizens. Having delivered upon this mission since 2008, with our flagship school, KIPP Journey (over 300 students in grades 5-8), we will be expanding our impact to serve nearly 2,000 students by the end of the decade. KIPP’s FIRST elementary school will open in the summer of 2014 with a founding class of Kindergarten and 1st grade students. KIPP Journey Academy has been rated EFFECTIVE by the Ohio Department of Education for multiple years, and is an EPIC Award Winning School. Our alumni are currently attending some of the best high schools throughout the city and we work relentlessly to ensure that all KIPPsters who walk through our doors receive an excellent education. AT KIPP, we are not only focused on academics, but also on supporting the holistic growth of our KIPPsters. Through our partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Columbus, our students have an opportunity for many enrichment opportunities daily – yoga, dance, basketball, track, soccer, art, music, and much more. Our girls and boys basketball teams are City Champions, along with our award-winning STEP Team (K.R.U.E.) and track team. We look forward to continuing this incredible JOURNEY as we prepare to serve even more students and families in these coming years.
