About this campaign

Sergeant Thomas W Tieman passed away on the evening of March 24th, 2023. Sergeant Tieman suffered a heart attack at his home in the early evening of March 24 and was quickly responded to by YCSO deputies and Emergency Medical Services. He was then stabilized and transported to the Yavapai Regional Medical Center, where he later passed away.

Sergeant Tieman was a dedicated and loyal public servant in Arizona for over 25 years. Sergeant Tieman began his career in law enforcement in 1994 with the Arizona Department of Corrections. He moved on to the Eager Police Department for three years and then the Springerville Police Department for six years. For the past 15 years, Sergeant Tieman has served with YCSO. His time with the agency was spent as a Patrol Deputy, in the Training Unit, Forest Patrol Search and Rescue, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), and as the Northern Arizona Regional Training Academy (NARTA) Sergeant.

Sergeant Tieman leaves behind his wife, Christy, his four grown children, and his mother and father Mary and Tom.

“Tommy Tieman was not only a dedicated member of our agency, but an exemplary role model for his fellow law enforcement personnel”, said Sheriff David Rhodes. “He led with integrity, loyalty, and courage. He will be remembered for his selfless service to our community and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.”

-Yavapai County Sheriff's Office Media Release

These T-shirts were designed by law enforcement officers in collaboration with Tommy's wife, Christy, to commemorate Tommy's life, accomplishments and legacy. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to the family.

Sergeant Tieman was an excellent Sergeant, trainer, and person. He knew how to make everyone feel welcomed and reminded them that they mattered no matter what position they held. He was really a breath of fresh air and he will be missed.
