About this campaign

The American Brain Tumor Association is the nation’s oldest nonprofit organization dedicated to brain tumor education, support and research. In 1973, the ABTA was founded by two mothers determined to find answers that, at the time, were not yet available. Since then, the ABTA has funded more than $32 million in brain tumor research and now reaches a national audience, providing educational and support resources.

The ABTA is a steadfast advocate on behalf of the brain tumor community in the United States, and we are here to help patients, caregivers, and their loved ones as they navigate the brain tumor journey.

As a soldier that is currently deployed, I think about my love ones back home often. One particular young man that I have been thinking about, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He has shown how strong he truly is, by fighting like a champion! This Champion is Justin. Being so far from home, I wanted to show my support and created a T-shirt that will bring awareness, by going gray for the month of May! A gold ribbon has been added, to show our support for all forms of cancer affecting children and adolescents. The reason I chose to add the gold, is because the young man Justin I spoke about before, is currently fighting during the prime of his youth. Let's show Justin and his family, along with people who are currently effected by brain tumors, that no one fights alone!
