About this campaign

I am honoring my brave daughter Giulianna at this year's lemon run. She was diagnosed with stage IV Neuroblastoma at nine months old. She has had multiple rounds of chemotherapy, surgeries, bone aspirations and blood transfusions against her fight with this horrible disease. Neuroblastoma is a type of cancer that starts in certain very early forms of nerve cells found in an embryo or fetus. (The termneuro refers to nerves, while blastoma refers to a cancer that affects immature or developing cells). This type of cancer occurs most often in infants and young children. Neuroblastoma tumors develop generally in the adrenal glands (located on the top of the kidneys), where neuroblasts are commonly found.
