Fox 2/9 Las Vegas Reunion

On December 9, 1992, under the cover of darkness, a small, highly trained unit of United States Marines departed the USS Juneau for the war-torn streets of Mogadishu, Somalia. Performing one of the first amphibious raids since WWII, the Marines would secure a large-scale international port facility, under fire, in under two hours. The infamous Raid on the Port of Mogadishu would establish a foothold for U.S. Forces to begin providing humanitarian aid to the embattled people of Somalia. Though more than 20 years has passed since that fateful evening, the Marines of Company F, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines, serving as the Ground Combat Element for the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), have vowed to maintain the unbreakable bonds of brotherhood forged that night. Every two years, the Brothers select a location and come from around to the Country to share fellowship, tell old stories, and learn of new accomplishments.
