About this campaign
We didnt reach our goal last time but had great support! Since people have seen the shirts the demand for more has been through the roof. The money raised from the first booster is being used for lawyer costs, filing fees, etc as will this money! The more raised from actual FAM members the more time Milk and others involved in the charity can spend taking these long trips around the country visiting families! Thanks for the support!
I've watched the FAM grow from a three letter hashtag on social media to a real life place for teenagers to confide in for help. I've watched Milk and partners fly across the country on their own dime helping families in the darkest times during childhood cancer. It's time we act as a FAM and help pay some of the start up costs for the charity! And in return you get a shirt showing you are part of the FAM!
#FAM started years ago when Milk Tyson would tweet and Instagram his own issues with depression and anxiety. It became a place where kids of all ages could relate, vent and look to on a daily basis for encouragement. He spent countless hours responding to hundreds of emails from kids and letting them vent and giving advice letting them know they weren't alone. When he met Christina, they turned their attention also to childhood cancer. Skipping major holidays to be with people in hospitals, paying bills, helping with travel expenses or just being there for support. This is what FAM turned into. They are now entering the world of a real non-profit http://fam4fam.org and I think its time we all show that we are a FAM and that we can help with some of the start up costs of the charity and in return get a shirt showing that in fact, "We Are FAM"
