About this campaign

We are raising funds for the Emily Murillo Mental Health Memorial Scholarship. We will give $1000 to a SBHS senior who submitted an essay demonstrating their own mental health journey. Emmy was a special girl with the biggest smile and heart. Unfortunately, her peers didn’t see her that way. She was often picked on and bullied for the things that made her so special. Emmy struggled with her mental health for most of her life. Eventually after a pandemic shutdown, isolation, and continued bullying through social media, it all became too much for Emmy and she ended her own life on 1/29/21. Please help us help someone else who has also struggled like Emmy. Buy an Emmy’s Champions shirt to show your support in memory of our Emmy.
