Elliana Jamason Memorial Foundation

On Memorial Day, May 26, 2014, I received the phone call that would forever change the course of my life, my sons life and my family's life.  Elliana was gone, her life taken by her "other parent", my ex-partner of 20 years.  Not knowing this information on the drive to the hospital, I had no idea what I was in for...when I arrived at the hospital, not only did I learn that my beautiful 2 y/o daughter was drowned but that her brother, my son, was also injured and my ex-spouse was to blame.  The past year has been the most challenging of my life.
There have been many ups and downs.  Losing a child is something no parent should ever have to experience and when it is at the hands of another human being, it presents grief on an entirely different level.  I have been fortunate enough to have a large community, church, family, and friends who have carried me through my storms this past year but many in my situation do not.  It is my hope that I will be able to help other Mom's who are dealing with the loss of a child tragically and/or violently through the act of another.  To provide support, resources, love, and hope as they learn to cope and heal.  Please consider supporting the Elliana Jamason Memorial Foundation in its grass roots efforts to become a National Resource Center for Grief and Loss of a child.
