Eating Disorder Awareness T-Shirt

At the age of 11, I was diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa, a type of eating disorder. I was not in good condition and I was sent to a couple different hospitals for several months that helped get my weight to a healthy one and my mental state back in order. My heart was slowing down and began to consume itself due to the lack of nutrition. I was forced to wear IV's in my arm and a feeding tube up my nose. An eating disorder is not a choice, but a mental disorder that distorts your way of thinking. Someone who is very thin can see themselves as someone who is the exact opposite. In effect of this, they restrict their eating in attempt to make themselves thinner. Relationships, health, and productivity are all at risk due to this complex disorder. I want to raise money for the National Eating Disorder Association so there is more awareness and education about this disorder, and to help others struggling to pay for expensive hospitalizations and treatments.
