Dachshund Rescue of Bucks County: Saving Dachshunds in PA, NJ & NY

Doxie Rescue Bucks County needs your help to raise funds to help doxies in need. Founded in 1984, DRBC is a 501-C3 nonprofit supported completely by donations. Our all-volunteer organization works tirelessly serving the Dachshund Rescue needs of Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware.
 
Each year at DRBC, we rescue and treat hundreds of dachshunds.  Some have a broken heart, some have suffered abuse or neglect and some come to us with long term medical needs. No matter the circumstance, the happiness and well being of each doxie we meet is of paramount concern to us. Each animal that enters the protection of DRBC will be treated with dignity and respect from loving, responsible, well-trained caregivers, during every moment it remains under our guardianship. DRBC will remain as a lifeline for all dogs adopted by us, no matter the circumstance, forever.
 
DRBC’s goal is to save abandoned, owner turn-ins, neglected or stray Dachshunds. DRBC does not just place needy Dachshunds; we specialize in matches of the heart. All DRBC dogs with long-term medical issues are given life-long sanctuary as permanent members in one of our foster homes. Additionally, DRBC supports the long-term sponsorship of senior dachshunds though our GrandPaws and Best Friends Programs.

DRBC prides itself as an organization on the level of medical care provided and in its role as a medical resource for the dachshund breed. Community education is at the forefront of the DRBC mission.
 
Specifically, the IVDD Program is the advancement of educational information for all long hound owners and the veterinary community. This mission is achieved by delivering outstanding veterinary care and providing exceptional educational experiences for the veterinarian, the veterinary student, and the long hound owner. We endeavor to save Dachshunds in animal shelters, thus avoiding euthanasia. We also aid Dachshund owners in recovering lost or stolen pets.

DRBC is proud of our community outreach programs. Penelope's Foundation has allowed many animals to stay in a loving and caring home with our assistance, who may not otherwise be able to do so due to cost. The Homer Foundation focuses on providing medical care and sanctuary to doxies with severe needs, without whom life would have come to an abrupt halt.
