T Shirts!! Connor's Boston Marathon Fundraising for Dana Farber

I’m running the 2023 Boston Marathon in April and I’m proud to be raising money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute!! All proceed from this T-shirt sale and donations from my marathon fundraiser page go directly to the Claudia Adams Barr Program for Innovative Basic Cancer Research. Some personal effects I put into the T Shirt design are the teal shirt color, which represents Ovarian Cancer awareness in memory of my grandmother Ruth Wentzell who passed from it, and the target of the first therapy I worked on out of college in her honor. I also included a plasmid (the O) and an antibody (the Y), which are both types of cancer therapies I’ve been able to work with during my career.

I wanted to link the running of the Boston Marathon to the real key that drives innovation in cancer therapies and the research at Dana Farber; and that is the donations from people like you. The direct donations from fundraisers like this are essential to the Claudia Adams Barr Program and the research findings the come from it. Novel cancer therapies, early screening methods, and basic understanding of cancer metabolism are all driven by DONATIONS from people who wish to one day KICK cancer GOODBYE.
