About this campaign

The children that are the victims of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster are in need. We are creating a documentary to raise awareness of what happened in Northern Ukraine. The proceeds of these shirts will be donated to the "Friends of the children of Chernobyl" charity.

Shirts will be delivered approximately 2 weeks after the close date.

This is widely known as the worst industrial accident in human history and the legacy of this event lives on in the lives of the victims that lived through it, and those that had the effects passed to them through their genetics.

The young children born with severe birth defects are the ones at the most risk. Instances of birth defects and cancer are 2500% higher in the regions where traces of the nuclear fuel have been found than they are at any other place in the world. The governments of the nations of Belarus and Ukraine struggle to provide adequate care to these children. The bulk of their care is through the donation of funds to the Chernobyl charities.

in 2013, Red Hollywood Studios started production on the film "Unimaginable: The lasting effects of the Chernobyl disaster". This film looks deeper into the cause of the disaster, as well as how this catastrophe will impact the future of not only the nations of Belarus and Ukraine, but the world. The filmmakers have decided to donate all money earned on the sales of the film to Chernobyl charities. The proceeds of these shirts will be donated to the Friends of the children of Chernobyl charity in addition to the film proceeds.
