About this campaign

The Watermelon Festival is Carytown's marquee annual event - it also provides a real-world example of how Carytown is much more accessible, enjoyable, and safer when it is dedicated to people instead of cars. Show your support for a car-free Carytown with this Watermelon Festival-inspired "Cars Ruin Carytown" shirt while also raising money for RVA Community Fridges. All profits from the Cars Ruin Carytown tees go directly to RVA Community Fridges.

RVA Community Fridges is a mutual aid group aimed at solving food security throughout and around Richmond. They have nine fridges throughout the region that stay stocked with food with the motto of "Take what you need...Leave what you can." You can learn more about RVA Community Fridges at www.rvacommunityfridges.com.
