About this campaign

This fundraiser is about two things: showing everyone that there is a safer, more accessible, healthier, and more enjoyable way to design our communities around transit, walking, and biking instead of around cars; and supporting Gallery5, one of the most important organizations in the Richmond arts community.

In 2024, we're going back to the original Cars Ruin Carytown design -- with a slight twist...more colors! This year you can choose between the classic white, red, green, light pink, gray, or black. This year's tee is a Gildan Softstyle Jersey T-shirt, which is softer and higher quality compared to past years' tees.

Additionally, this year every dollar from Cars Ruin Carytown '24 goes directly to Gallery5! Gallery5 believes in the power of the arts to promote change and engage diverse communities through inclusive collaborations and accessible programming. They have been a pillar in the Jackson Ward and greater Richmond community since 2005, and they aim to facilitate and inspire cultural creativity in the region.
