Cambio Yoga’s mission is to make yoga accessible to everyone. But like many small businesses, Cambio has been hit hard by the recent events, so that mission is in jeopardy. Cambio Yoga: it’s more than a yoga studio, it’s truly a CommUNITY. It’s a family owned, small business run by siblings Amber and Austin Richman located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The winner of the Best of the Springs in 2019, Cambio Yoga is the only donation-based yoga studio in Colorado Springs, supporting a student base of 14,000 and a teaching staff of 56.
Cambio operates under a ”come as you are, pay what you can" model. They believe in the goodness of the universe and people, and realize there is a reciprocal bond between their students and them. In 2018, they were able to provide over 60,000 visits that were made accessible by donation alone. Cambio continually shows up for the greater Colorado Springs Community. They offer support to local nonprofits through monetary donations and free community classes.
Like so many businesses, Cambio Yoga has been heavily impacted by the recent events related to COVID-19. The business was extraordinarily proactive in their response to COVID-19, choosing to close their doors before statewide regulations were implemented. They took their classes and their mission online through Zoom, allowing the community to continue to connect knowing that Community Is Not Cancelled.
The move to online has been wonderful for the community, but difficult for the studio financially. There are many overhead expenses that still must be paid with a limited revenue. In order to re-open the doors once the great global pause is done, the studio needs your financial help.
Your t-shirt or tank top purchases will help with costs like rent, utilities, loan payments on the second location, and a small staff who continues to support the studio remotely so that the Cambio community can make it through this trying time of hardship.
