About this campaign
By sharing our fundraiser and purchasing shirts you will be helping change their (orphans) story. Their story doesn't have to be full of sadness and hunger, but can be one of love and joy. All money raised from this fundraiser will go towards the purchase of the land in Kenya on which our orphanage and home will be built. The land we are purchasing is right next to AFM Mercy School. We are trying to raise a total of $15,000 through various fundraising means in order to purchase 7.5 acres. We are in the process of selling the home we own in Garland and will sell most of our possessions as we get closer to the big move. All money left after we pay off the mortgage will go towards the land purchase, building our home and orphanage, and setting up a couple micro-businesses to help support us once we have moved. The first step is to put a down-payment of $6,000 for the land, then we can start building. The land will be used not only for our home and orphanage, but also for raising animals and for farming in order to help support the orphanage and Mercy School.
