Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)

Our grouphas seen TREMENDOUS growth in our Fellowship of Christian Athletes program in 2014. After starting last year with 7 students, we are kicking off the 2014-2015 season with near 30 students. Our FCA program has many service projects on board for this year, including assisting with the live nativity Walk Through Bethlehem, purchasing products for the world’s needy through Samaritan’s Purse, equipping underprivileged students with food to take home after school, volunteering to assist with athletic camps, and other community projects. FCA is truly growing here. Last year, over 20 FCA members traveled to Adventures On The Gorge for a zip-lining adventure filled with devotions, teamwork, and fun! This school year, our FCA group is shooting for the ultimate educational spiritual, and fun experience. We hope to travelto Walt Disn WorldResort over spring break 2015 for a spiritualand educational program through Disney Youth. Disney Youth Programs is a collection of unique, enriching experiences designed to engage young minds and show students the path to making dreams a reality. These practical learning programs use the impact of Disney storytelling, the dynamic cast and environment of the Disney Parks, and the power of hands‐on learning to spark creativity and unlock the hidden potential within students. We will choose between a variety of classes including leadership training, science, history, and more! Nightly challenges, bible study,devotions,and group projects will also take place outside of the Disney Youth program. We areVERY excited and motivated to make this trip a reality. As with all field trips, a high financial cost is involved, and this trip is no exception. The cost of the trip is approximately $1,200 per student, which includes the educational class, park tickets, hotel, meal vouchers, and transportation to and from Florida.
