About this campaign

Barbara "Barbie" Hudson was diagnosed with breast cancer and also received results of testing positive for the BRCA2 gene mutation on the same day after going through genetics testing process. Barbie is an educator and alumnus of Livingstone College from Charlotte, NC. She did not expect this turn in her life but she is strong and a fighter and will get through this test.

Barbie underwent a bilateral mastectomy on November 11, 2019 and is currently recovering and awaiting treatment recommendations from her oncologist.
