About this campaign

Dedicated to showcasing the culture, history and tourism opportunities available in the mountains of "Appa-LATCH-uh", Appalachian Magazine is entering its fourth year of service and is in the process of stepping up its game, so to speak!

In 2018, we plan to launch a video series, as well as expand our print publication to new levels of quality and reach; however, in order to do this, we will need additional seed money from the 80,000+ online subscribers who enjoy great content free of charge!

Help support us and proper pronunciation of these hills in the process!

In December 2013, West Virginia native Jeremy T.K. Farley launched a blog sharing the many stories he had heard his grandparents recount of life in the coal mining towns of Mingo County, West Virginia. Within three months of the site’s original launch, more than 3,000 people had subscribed to receive updates from the online publication and within a matter of days, Appalachian Magazine was born.

Today, the publication enjoys over 80,000 online subscribers, a weekly reach of a quarter-million and is available in both print and online.

As Appalachian Magazine prepares to enter 2018, the family has even greater goals for the publication and are appreciative of your support!
