Alexa's YWAM T-Shirt Fundraiser

Hello Friends & Family!

I am so excited to have the opportunity to complete a Discipleship Training School (DTS) through the organization Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Sunshine Coast, Australia. As many of you know my older sister completed this very same program in New Zealand three years ago. I watched God radically change her life from this experience and knew it was only a matter of time before I would go too. Not only did He do a work within her life but He also redefined the relationship Brianna and I have as sisters.

After YWAM God called Brianna back to Alabama to disciple me. I couldn't believe my sister was actually transferring from the University of Alabama to move to Auburn and be with me. Over the past few years my sister has discipled me through the ups and downs of life. She's watched me discover the true meaning of God's joy and the power of His active presence. I have learned so much about The Lord's character and who he has called me to be in His kingdom. I know for certain that life is too short to wake up doing anything that doesn't light a fire inside your heart. There is nothing I want more than to bring the love of Jesus to people from all over the world.

I am completing my college degree this May and plan to attend YWAM this September. My greatest hope is that YWAM will be an opportunity for me to further the relationship I have with Christ. I want to learn how I can best be the hands and feet of Jesus to every person I meet. I desperately need your prayers for this journey. I know that every step of this process is meant to strengthen my faith and reliance on God.

I will be strengthening and challenging my relationship with God for the first three months of this trip through weekly lectures and weekend trips to the beaches of Australia. I will be learning how to lead and disciple others during this lecture hase.

After the first three months of the lecture portion, I will then travel to another country for an outreach phase. (The country will be determined toward the completion of the lecture phase.) This will allow me to practice and apply the skills I have learned during the lecture porton.

I ask that you please pray for my journey not only during YWAM but my journey to YWAM. I know that God wants to teach me so much in the before process and I want him to prepare my heart for what I will experience while overseas.
