About this campaign

Best Buddies club at Albany Middle School in Northern California is raising funds to support events and activities throughout the school year. This is our 3rd year being active in the Best Buddies International Organization. Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Best Buddies Middle Schools pairs students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in one-to-one friendships with middle school students without intellectual and developmental disabilities. In today’s middle schools, students with intellectual and developmental disabilities often enter the same building and walk the same hallways as their peers, but they are left out of social activities. Our club provides opportunities for life long friendships and supports an inclusive camps.
