African Education Program FunRacer 2020 Virtual 5K

AEP's mission is to empower the youth of Zambia through education and leadership to break the cycle of poverty in their communities. Our pilot after-school learning center in Kafue was closed on March 20, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The local team began working from home disseminating important health safety information and monitoring the effects of the virus locally. It became clear that beneficiaries would quickly become food deprived and that families had no ability to stay at home to try to flatten the COVID-19 curve in the community.
