About this campaign

Purchase a t-shirt featuring an exclusive design created for the Iroquois Museum by Mohawk artist Carla Hemlock and show your support for Haudenosaunee artists. Our goal is to sell 100 shirts by Monday, November 11th. Funds raised through the sale of these shirts will enable the Iroquois Museum to purchase their work for our permanent collection and invite artists and performers to share their rich and enduring culture to Museum visitors.

About the Iroquois Museum: In a building inspired by a Haudenosaunee(Iroquois) longhouse, the Iroquois Museum in Howes Cave, NY is the ideal introduction to the Haudenosaunee today and in the past. The Museum offers a window into the rich complexity of Haudenosaunee culture and history through visual and performing arts. The 7300-square foot facility features changing and permanent exhibits; interactive, family-friendly learning stations; and the largest collection of contemporary Haudenosaunee art worldwide. Dance performances, storytelling, artist demonstrations, and 45-acre Nature Park celebrate the cultural diversity, rich history, archaeology, and artistic expression of the Haudenosaunee—Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, and Tuscarora. The Gift Shop offers fine hand crafted Haudenosaunee art, silver, pottery, and sculpture purchased directly from the artists, as well as books and souvenirs. Additional educational opportunities are available online through the Museum’s website and “Learning Longhouse.“ www.iroquoismuseum.org

Because I have been an artist all my life and because I am too fat and really don't need more food! Luck to all in this miserable country.

The museum and staff are gems. I have learned so much there and experienced so many happy times at the festivals. This tshirt logo is beautiful too. And of course Little Boy. He greeted me on my first ever visit. Cant wait to return!
